If you have a light outside that's constantly attracting bugs and insects. Insects are naturally attracted to light and can be a nuisance when your trying to enjoy an evening outdoors.
Remove every light you have outside and replace them with "bug lights". Yes they are actually called bug lights or anti-bug lights. They have a special yellow / orange coating to reduce the blue light in regular bulbs, which attracts night-flying insects.
There is nothing about yellow lightbulbs either kills or repels insects. Yellow / orange bug lightbulbs are indeed effective in keeping away flying insects, but only because they are incapable of seeing the light emitted by the yellow bulbs as well as they see light emitted by white, bluey, leds, white CFL'S, and clear bulbs,
uklightbulbs stock a range of anti bug and insect replellent lamps.
Energy saving and incandesent in various wattage.
Anti-bug light bulbs are now being used more in the uk, they have been used in America for a long time, only now are they available in a 230 volt in the uk.
